Following a detailed consultation and a decision on the exact type of the operation, you will be offered a date. You should stop Aspirin and non-steroidal anti inflammatory agents 2 weeks before the operation. If the operation is under local anaesthesia it will be performed as a day case. Otherwise there will be a one night stay. You will be admitted to a dedicated room in Spire Norwich Hospital. You will have your operation on the same day. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty will take about 1˝ hours; the same length of time is required for lower lid blepharoplasty. As a result if both upper and lower lids are done it will take 2 ˝ -3 hours. Please note that Mr Beigi’s standard blepharoplasty involves multi layer readjustment of the eyelid and is more extensive than the standard blepharoplasties offered by other cosmetic surgeons.

Following the operation you will return to your room with dressing covering both eyes. If you are a day case patient one of the dressings will be removed in the afternoon. You will then be discharged to go home. The other dressing will be removed the next day. In the case of an overnight stay, the dressing will remain on both eyes until the next morning when the dressing will be removed and you will be discharged to go home.
